The Fernández-Baca family opened its first dental practice in 1894. Four generations of dentists in the family later, they wanted to refurbish the clinic, which is located in a historic building in Malaga. The challenge was to design and remodel the clinical space, customer service area and corridors, toilets and X-ray suite, while maintaining the historical character of the space and bringing to life the innovative concepts of dentistry.
Studio Paco Lago Interiors explored new design ideas and colour palettes, taking inspiration from the different shades of white that exist in dentistry, and in keeping with the clinic’s brand identity.
Altro floors were chosen for both their aesthetics and technical performance. Altro Ensemble in wood-look regal walnut was chosen for the customer service areas and corridors to give a welcoming and homely feel. Altro Orchestra was installed in the adjacent storage and back of house areas, toilets and photographic X-ray suite where comfort underfoot and noise reduction were paramount.
Altro Ensemble is a modular flooring system of luxury vinyl tiles that gives complete design freedom to create stunning floors. With a range of colours and four sizes, it can be mixed and matched to create unique designs. It has 15dB sound reduction with added comfort underfoot, making it perfect for front of house areas where design is key.
For areas where comfort and sound reduction are important, 2.85mm Altro Orchestra has been engineered to create the ideal environment to learn and live. With a palette of 40 colours and designs varying from calming neutrals reflecting tones of nature, to vibrant shades, Altro Orchestra allows you to create the right atmosphere every time.
