Wildgoose Rural Training is a care farm for adults and young people based in the heart of Worcestershire. Occupying a 42-acre site comprising a 36-acre nature reserve and 6-acre care farm, Wildgoose Rural Training offers students the chance to learn about horticulture, conservation, farming, arts and crafts, cooking, mechanics, and animal care, connecting them with the outdoors, nature, and all of the goodness that it brings.
The farm has two new log cabins - a visitors’ centre and an education centre - both in daily use. Activities carried out in the centres include computer work, arts, and crafts, cooking and dining so the areas would need to stand up to the demands of a lot of muddy boots. They required a floor that was durable, easy to clean, had a welcoming appearance and provided slip resistance.

We wanted a biophilic, durable design, in keeping with the rustic theme of the centre, connecting it with the outside, and replicating the feel of wooden floorboards.
We particularly liked the fact that Altro Wood adhesive-free can be cleaned really easily, it comes up looking lovely.
