What is the guarantee

Altro guarantees that in the event of any one of the floor products (the “Product”) that you have selected requiring repair or replacement due to a defect in the product within the Product guarantee period, the defective floor covering will be repaired free of charge or replaced. The length of the product guarantee period starts from the date of installation (of the original floor covering) and is determined by the type of floor product installed provided that:

• the Product has been installed and maintained according to Altro’s instructions, the Product specification and the relevant Altro Product data sheet; and
• the Product has been subjected to only normal wear and tear and to no physical or chemical abuse; and
• the guarantee registration form has been returned/submitted to Altro fully and correctly completed within three months of installation.

Terms of the guarantee

• Altro must be informed as soon as possible and without delay, in writing, when the alleged defect is found.
• Any claim made under this guarantee shall be investigated by Altro.
• The defective Product and premises where the Product is installed or stored must be available to Altro for inspection and testing.
• Neither you nor any third party have attempted to undertake any remedial work.
• You must clean the floor covering in accordance with Altro’s cleaning and maintenance guidelines (which are available here).
• Altro’s sole and exclusive liability is limited to, at Altro’s sole discretion, a repair or supplying, free of charge, sufficient material of the same or similar specification to replace that determined by Altro to be defective.
• All purchases of Altro Product are subject to Altro’s Conditions of Sale as amended from time to time and by the terms of this guarantee. The current version of the Conditions of Sale can be found here.
• Nothing in this guarantee affects your statutory rights as a customer.
• This guarantee does not guarantee or imply that the Product is for a particular purpose or use.
• The guarantee is transferable should the end user vacate the address where the Product has been installed but Altro’s guarantee certificate must be given to the new party before any claims can be made on the guarantee.
• For the avoidance of doubt, but at Altro’s sole discretion, this guarantee only applies to defects which are more than 25mm².
• Any claims against colour batch or obvious material defect will only be considered if the Product has not yet been installed.

This guarantee does not extend to

• any use of the Product for which it is not designed and/or designated; or
• colour change or other deterioration due to excessive exposure to UV light; or
• marking from burning agents or staining of the surface of the material; or
• spillages of chemicals to which the Product has no or limited resistance; or
• failure of any welded joint and/or seam including, but not limited to, lack of fusion between the Product and the weld rod; or
• any Product where the defect was apparent or easily detectible prior to installation.
• failure of or damage to the material due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Altro, including but not limited to failure due to:
• excessive moisture, vapour pressure or alkaline reactions in or through the substrate or existing subfloor; or
• substrate issues including but not limited to structural movement or deterioration of substrate or existing subfloors; or
• in the case of adhesive-free (i.e. not adhered) floor covering, damage caused by laying and/or uplifting and/or re-laying the floor covering.

The Altro Floor Guarantee does not apply to any third-party products that are incorporated into the Product. Where third party products are incorporated into the Product, the manufacturer’s warranty for these products will be supplied (where available). Any claims under third party product warranties must be made directly with the relevant manufacturer and Altro shall have no liability or responsibility for the outcome of any such third party warranty claims.

Altro shall not be liable for any other guarantees or warranties which may be given by third parties on the Product. Nor shall Altro be liable for financial compensation and will not pay any consequential, incidental, or special loss or damages, nor reimburse any indirect losses, costs or expenses of any kind whatsoever under this guarantee.

What is the guarantee

The length of the product guarantee period starts from the date of installation (of the original wall covering) and is determined by the type of walling product installed. The defective wall covering will be repaired free of charge or replaced provided that:

• the Product has been installed and maintained according to Altro’s instructions, the Product specification and the relevant Altro Product data sheet, and
• the Product has been subjected to only normal wear and tear and to no physical or chemical abuse and
• the guarantee registration form has been returned/submitted to Altro fully and correctly completed within three months of installation, and
• the Product has been installed using the correct ratio of sheet to AltroFix adhesive as per the Altro installation guide.

The Altro Walls Guarantee does not apply to any third-party products that are incorporated into the Product. Where third party products are incorporated into the Product, the manufacturer’s warranty for these products will be supplied (where available). Any claims under third party product warranties must be made directly with the relevant manufacturer and Altro shall have no liability or responsibility for the outcome of any such third-party warranty claims. Altro shall not be liable for any financial compensation and will not pay any consequential, incidental, or special loss or damages, nor reimburse any indirect losses, costs or expenses, of any kind whatsoever under this guarantee.

What is the guarantee

The length of the product guarantee period starts from the date of installation (of the original resin) and is determined by the type of resin product installed. The defective resin will be repaired free of charge or replaced provided that:

• the Product has been installed and maintained according to specification and the relevant Altro product data sheet; and
• the Product has been subjected to only normal wear and tear and to no physical or chemical abuse; and
• the guarantee registration form has been returned/submitted to Altro fully and correctly completed within three months of installation.

Terms of the guarantee

• Altro must be informed as soon as possible and without delay, in writing, when the alleged defect is found.
• Any claim made under this guarantee shall be investigated by Altro.
• The defective Product and premises where the Product is installed or stored must be available to Altro for inspection and testing.

This guarantee does not extend to

• any use of the Product for which it is not designed and/or designated; or
• colour change or other deterioration due to excessive exposure to UV light; or
• marking from burning agents or staining of the surface of the material; or
• impact damage or scratching of the surface; or
• areas of heavy wear, e.g. pinch points and turn points which may require repair during the guarantee period; or
• failure of the welds and/or seams; or
• failure of or damage to the material due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Altro, including but not limited to failure due to:
• excessive moisture, vapour pressure or alkaline reactions in or through the substrate or existing subfloor; or
• substrate issues including but not limited to structural movement or deterioration of substrate or existing subfloors.

The Altro Resin Guarantee applies only to the Product and does not extend to any third-party products incorporated into the Product. Where third party products are incorporated into the Product, the manufacturer’s warranty for these products will be supplied (where available). Any claims under third party product warranties must be made directly with the relevant manufacturer and Altro shall have no liability or responsibility for the outcome of any such third party warranty claims.

Altro shall not be liable for any financial compensation and will not pay any consequential, incidental, or special loss or damages, nor reimburse any indirect losses, costs or expenses, of any kind whatsoever under this guarantee.
