The Central Municipal Sports Centre in Alella, Barcelona, provides a wide range of activities for its members. The gym, fitness area and personal training rooms were being expanded and refurbished, with new flooring required that would provide comfort underfoot, excellent durability and easy maintenance.
Montserrat Casarramona, Chief Operating Officer of UESPORTS Alella explains their approach to the project: “The fitness room has wonderful natural light and excellent equipment, but it had become too small. Our growth led us to undertake this work and the result has been spectacular.”
With hygiene a key priority to keep members and staff safe, a quick installation flooring solution was required that had ease of cleaning, robust good looks, and warm aesthetics. In addition, the gym needed to return to use as quickly as possible, so disruption needed to be minimised. For this reason, the speed of installation and the simplicity in installing the floor have brought great advantages. So much so that the deadlines have been met sooner than expected. Of course, hygiene is key right now, and this flooring is very easy to clean.”
