That’s why we were proud to sponsor the Health Award at the North Herts Hero Awards 2026, recognising individuals who are committed to improving the lives of others.
Held on Thursday 19 March, the awards celebrated local heroes across a range of categories.
As sponsors, the Altro team had the privilege of presenting the Health Award to Maria Esson.
Maria’s dedication to caring for others is evident through both her professional and voluntary work.
From supporting the African Caribbean Seniors and Luncheon Club to her role at Everyone Active, she brings energy and compassion to everything she does, helping to enhance the wellbeing of people across the local community.
The ceremony welcomed a distinguished guest list, including the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, local mayors, and representatives from key community organisations such as Citizens Advice North Hertfordshire, Settle, and the North Herts and Stevenage Centre for Voluntary Service.
It was a pleasure for the Altro team to meet Maria and celebrate her achievements in person.
A huge congratulations to all the winners and nominees, whose dedication continues to make North Hertfordshire a better place to live and work.
