Thoughtful product engineering combined with expert knowledge to facilitate cleaner, more inviting public transport interiors

All of our transport floors are engineered to facilitate easy cleaning by service operators in order to keep their travel interiors clean and inviting for passengers. As part of our partnership promise to our customers, our support doesn’t stop with the sale – we arm ourselves with the best expert knowledge on cleaning to pass onto our customers.

Cleanliness of a train carriage directly impacts passenger experience when travelling […] Some passengers expressed that they'd often rather stand on services due to the lack of cleanliness of their surroundings.

Hirsch and Thompson: "I can sit but I’d rather stand", (2011)

A clean sheet on safety

Keeping your bus and rail floors clean doesn’t just look great – it means that your floors can continue to perform at their best. Altro transport floors are designed, through the unique emboss or aggregate blend in the top coats, to maintain contact between the floor and the sole of customers’ shoes, despite any contaminants that may be present such as oil or water. If dirt is allowed to build up around the emboss or slip resistant aggregates of our floors, it can decrease the slip-resistant performance by up to 50%.
