Commercial kitchens face constant exposure to water, grease, food spillages, and heavy foot traffic, creating significant safety and maintenance challenges. The restaurant needed a flooring solution that could withstand demanding daily operations while supporting hygiene, efficient cleaning, and employee comfort.
The project team collaborated closely with Altro representatives to identify a flooring system specifically designed for foodservice environments. The team also incorporated clamping drains into the installation to improve washdown efficiency and support hygienic maintenance practices.
Altro Stronghold 30 was installed throughout the kitchen environment to provide long-term slip resistance, even in the presence of grease, oil, flour, and water contaminants.
Combined with clamping drains, the flooring system created a secure, watertight finish that supports safer working conditions, easier cleaning, and improved operational efficiency. Its cushioned 3mm construction also helped reduce employee fatigue and minimize noise during busy service periods.
