In order to accommodate their rapid growth and expand production capabilities, Triton relocated its facilities and headquarters to a newly renovated space within its home town of Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The remodeled campus would include a host of upgraded amenities, particularly new laboratories and development centers to enable a full spectrum of in-house operations ranging from chemistry and biology to machining, testing and virtual reality.
Local design firm Fishbrook Design Studio collaborated with Triton to create the ideal interior for their new facility. In the lab areas, the firm specified Altro Walkway 20 slip-resistant sheet flooring to promote employee safety and achieve the desired aesthetic. “We were looking for attractive flooring solutions that offered safe environments, cleanliness, low maintenance and durability,” explained Kristin Naumann, Fishbrook’s Director of Design. “For my renovation projects, Altro products offer a great looking, durable way to upgrade high-traffic areas such as common areas and work spaces.”
Altro Walkway 20 is a hard-wearing 2mm slip-resistant flooring range with an impressive color palette with 32 different options. This allows it to easily adapt to a wide variety of commercial applications with different aesthetics while enhancing the safety of patrons, guests and staff. Equipped with impervious heat-welded seams and enhanced stain resistance, Altro Walkway 20 allows for truly thorough cleaning and disinfecting without fading and discoloration that can result from harsh chemical cleaning agents over time.
Following the installation, Naumann reaffirmed Fishbrook’s decision to use Altro flooring in the new Triton facility. “Altro’s quality standards and ability to withstand moisture, high traffic and heavy use is why I feel confident specifying them for demanding, high-performance interiors.”
