A.   Altro Walls ShowerKit is a wall system designed for residential and light commercial wet areas. Altro Walls ShowerKit offers a modern alternative to ceramic tiles, combining fast installation with excellent durability, hygiene and visual appeal. Altro Walls ShowerKit is suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms and shower areas, and is easy to install whether you are a professional installer or a confident DIYer.

A.   Refreshed Altro Walls ShowerKit now includes all colours from Altro Whiterock Satins™ and Altro Whiterock™ wall designs, greatly expanding your design options.

A.   Altro Walls ShowerKit is available in several different colours and tile patterns:

• Plain – 42 colours / designs (Altro Whiterock White™, Altro Whiterock Satins and Altro Whiterock wall designs)
• Tile effect – 42 colours / designs (Altro Whiterock White, Altro Whiterock Satins and Altro Whiterock wall designs) in the following tile patterns:
• Stacked Metro - 100 mm x 300 mm
• Stacked Metro - 200 mm x 300 mm
• Square - 100 mm x 100 mm

This gives you a wide variety of looks, from subtle minimalism to bold feature walls.

A.    We know that with so many design and colour options available, choosing the right combination can feel overwhelming. That is why we have worked closely with design and colour specialists to create a curated palette – a selection of colour and tile pattern combinations that we believe work beautifully across a range of settings.

These are the combinations featured on our website and in the brochure to make specification easier.

The showcased options include:

• Altro Whiterock Satins: White, Hessian, Serenity and Twilight
• Altro Whiterock wall designs: Soft Elegance, Soft Woodgrain, Urban Mineral, Warm Concrete, Warm Elegance, White Elegance, White Mineral, and White Woodgrain

However, this is just a starting point – you can still specify any colour from the full Altro Whiterock Satins or Altro Whiterock wall designs ranges, and there is no additional charge for doing so.

A.    Altro Walls ShowerKit is manufactured to order and is usually supplied within four weeks from acceptance of a written quotation and sales order.

A.    Altro Walls ShowerKit has a 10-year guarantee plus the peace of mind that comes with buying an Altro product.

A.    Cleaning of Altro Walls ShowerKit is easy and straightforward. We recommend weekly cleaning using a soft cloth, water, and diluted household detergents. For more stubborn stains, we suggest diluted AltroClean™ 44. Silicone should be cleaned with a PH-neutral cleaner.

A.    Altro Walls ShowerKit sheets are available in a standard size of 2.4m by 600mm.

It is used in number of applications from commercial kitchens to operating theatres. Altro Walls ShowerKit is suitable for residential bathrooms and wet rooms and removes the need for a specialist installer. We have adjusted the size of the sheets and simplified the installation process, making it an ideal choice for both residential and light commercial settings.

It is particularly well-suited for wet rooms, where traditional finishes like ceramic tiles often fall short. A.    Altro Walls ShowerKit can be used in almost any area that a ceramic tile can be used. However, we do not recommend that Altro Walls ShowerKit is used behind any intense heat sources such as cooker hobs.

A.    Altro Walls ShowerKit has several benefits over a traditional ceramic tile wall finish:

• Altro Walls ShowerKit is quicker to install than traditional ceramic tiles; the large sheet area allows quicker coverage and there is no need to return to site to carry out a secondary grouting process
• Altro Walls ShowerKit sheets are impervious to moisture and very easy to keep clean, resulting in nowhere for mould to harbour, and the discolouration associated with cementitious grout with ceramic tiles is removed
• The tough, robust, and flexible nature of Altro Walls ShowerKit means that it is far more resistant to knocks and bangs; no cracking or chipping that can often be seen with ceramic tiles. Combined with the easy to clean benefits of Altro Walls ShowerKit makes it a more hygienic solution

A.    Pricing depends on two factors:

1. Whether you choose a plain or tile-effect finish
2. The base sheet type – Altro Whiterock White, Altro Whiterock Satins, or Altro Whiterock wall designs

• Plain (non-tiled) options are available at a lower cost, with three pricing tiers depending on the sheet type selected
• Tile-effect options are offered at a single, consistent price regardless of tile pattern, but still vary by sheet type:
  Altro Whiterock White, Altro Whiterock Satins or Altro Whiterock wall designs

A.    Altro Walls ShowerKit should always be fixed to the substrate using AltroFix MP600. Check the installation instructions for more detailed information.

• A one-part PVCu backplate combined with colour-matched Altro sanitary sealant form a secure and watertight joint between sheets
• External corners can be finished with a single-part brushed stainless steel corner trim
• Internal corners can be sealed using a bead of white or colour matched Altro sanitary sealant
• A two-part PVCu start and edge colour-matched trim can be used as a finishing detail
• A white two-part PVCu shower trim is available in two sizes for joints to baths and shower trays

• Altro Walls ShowerKit can be fitted straight onto several different substrates, including existing tiles, and there is no need to wait for specialist trades on-site
• The sheets are installed by using a fast-curing multipurpose MS-Polymer giving a tough and robust finished surface
• Joints between sheets are sealed utilising a brand-new and unique backplate trim ensuring a watertight and impervious wall finish
• Internal/external corners, edges and joints to baths and shower trays can be finished off using a range of accessories achieving a long-lasting and modern looking solution

A.    Yes. Anyone with reasonable DIY skills can fit Altro Walls ShowerKit. However, you need to be completely confident with the Altro Walls ShowerKit sheets and installation instructions before you start the installation process. You only need standard tools and your Altro Walls ShowerKit order will be delivered with comprehensive installation instructions. Alternatively, please speak to your Altro sales rep who can recommend an experienced installer.

A.    Yes. Altro Whiterock ShowerKit can be installed over existing ceramic tiles. Any existing tiles must however be clean, secure and prepared in line with our installation instructions.

A.    It is important that the bath or shower tray is already securely in place and sealed appropriately before the panels are installed. Full installation instructions are supplied with each kit.

A.    Yes. A festool and pressure guide is the best method. However, a jigsaw fitted with a fine-tooth metal cutting blade or fine-toothed handsaw can also be used for more intricate sections to be cut.

A.    We do not recommend thermoforming Altro Walls ShowerKit as this may warp the tile effect look. For internal corners the sheet can be butted into the corner and sealed with silicone sealant. External corners can be fitted using the single-part brushed aluminium corner trim.
