The winner of this year's award, Daniel Mee of Hillside Contracts Ltd, will be attending a two-day Altro flooring training course as part of the winning package of prizes.
The CFA Flooring Apprentice of the Year award is a prestigious recognition that highlights the dedication, talent, and hard work of apprentices across the UK. This initiative plays a vital role in celebrating the future of our industry and raising the profile of vocational careers in flooring.
This recognition is a fantastic moment for the whole Recofloor community: flooring contractors, distributors, manufacturers, and partners working together to reduce environmental impact and improve how materials are reused and recycled.
Daniel’s dedication to developing his skills really came through, and we look forward to welcoming him to our Training Centre soon. His employer, Hillside Contracts Ltd, was pleased to see his efforts recognised, and appreciated the support from this year’s sponsors – including a specialist flooring tool kit with equipment, materials, and vouchers worth over £10,000, as well as £1,000 in cash.
This award is more than a trophy - it's a powerful reminder of how valuable apprenticeships are in the flooring industry. Apprenticeships build confidence, expertise, and long-term career prospects, and Altro is proud to support initiatives that encourage new talent and raise standards.
