Methuen, MA. - Element Care PACE is a non-profit healthcare organization dedicated to helping older adults live independently and safely in their communities for as long as possible. With a network of Adult Day Health Centers across the North Shore, Merrimack Valley and Middlesex County, Element Care PACE offers a unique, all-in-one model that brings essential services together under one roof.
To ensure every space could meet the diverse needs of aging adults, Element Care PACE turned to Altro. A curated combination of Altro flooring and wall solutions was used throughout the Methuen facility to create a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
The team installed Altro Tegulis wall panels in the shower rooms, offering a stylish tiled aesthetic with the hygienic and maintenance-friendly benefits of a seamless wall system. Other restrooms were fitted with Altro Aquarius on the floor and paired with Altro Whiterock wall designs, delivering both visual appeal and ease of cleaning. These finishes support infection control protocols without compromising on design.
Throughout the therapy gym Altro Orchestra was selected for its comfort backing and acoustic performance. The floor’s ability to reduce impact sound while offering a soft underfoot feel benefits both participants and staff, particularly in high-traffic zones. To create a warmer, more residential look and feel in the lounge and social areas, Altro Wood Comfort brought in the natural aesthetic of wood with the added benefit of underfoot comfort, and used throughout the majority of the facility, including corridors, lobby and exam rooms for its durability, cleanability and aesthetic appeal.
Behind the scenes, Altro products helped ensure that the kitchen and food prep areas were just as thoughtfully designed. Altro Stronghold 30 was used in kitchen zones for its superior slip resistance in greasy and wet conditions, helping prevent workplace injuries. Altro Puraguard, a tough, easy-to-clean wall protection system, was added in this area to protect against scuffs, impacts and daily wear.
The renovated Methuen facility is a true reflection of Element Care PACE’s mission, bringing together care, community and accessibility in one well-designed environment. By combining thoughtful design with purpose-built materials, Element Care PACE continues to deliver on its promise: helping seniors age safely in place while staying connected to the community around them.
