Great Western Railway identified that their 16X fleet required an interior upgrade to improve customer experience and to bring the branding of their vehicles in line with all their other fleets. The 165 refresh programme aimed to engage customers with their brand and enhance their experience of travelling by rail. They wanted a supplier with a brand that was tried and tested so they approached Altro.
GWR undertook a full internal refresh which included laying new floorcoverings in saloons, vestibules, and toilets. They also rejuvenated their driving cabs by repainting panels, fitting new floorcovering, and renewing seat moquette.
