Altro are proud to announce our new reverse welding service, launching on 29 September 2021 into the global transport market.
Manufacturers in bus and rail will be able to order their flooring pre-welded, with the weld on the underside of the flooring, providing a faster and more reliable installation. In service, operators benefit from improved ease of cleaning, better protected seams, and uninterrupted flooring patterns.
In order to offer this service, our expert engineering team have developed a new reverse-welding process. This process is machine-led, minimising human error and giving a far more reliable weld. Our reverse welds are stringently vacuum and water tested to EN 13553:2017 and DVS 2225-3, so that you can be sure that your subfloor will remain protected.
Visible weld lines can interrupt patterns on more design-led floors, and may be areas where dirt could accumulate, resulting in cleaning challenges. With Altro’s reverse welding service, the welds are nearly invisible, negating both of these potential issues.
