A.    Altro Oceanis is a high design safety floor designed to provide optimum slip resistance for both barefoot and shoe users in bathrooms, showers and wet environments achieving Class B to EN 16165 Annex A for barefoot use, plus PTV ≥50 (Slider 96).

A.    Altro Oceanis comes in natural wood, stone-effect and mineral designs, mimicking some of our other safety floors inspired by nature.

  • In addition to the expanded design options, Altro Oceanis offers enhanced underfoot comfort and provides 14dB impact sound insulation. It combines a homely aesthetic with the durability of commercial-grade performance.
  • Altro Oceanis is 2.8mm thick, delivering added comfort and accommodating the printed technology used to create the design variations.
  • Wear layer thickness: 1.0mm
  • Range: 16 SKUs – 5 stone designs, 5 wood designs, and 6 mineral designs.

A.    This project was first initiated in 2017 following customer requests for a more decorative safety vinyl - something people would feel comfortable having in their homes as a true alternative to tiles. Demand for this solution has continued ever since.

A.    Altro Oceanis can be used in bathrooms, wet rooms, shower areas, home adaptations, changing rooms (except where spikes/studs are worn) sauna’s, spa’s, and therapy pools with specialist care.

A.   Altro Oceanis features Altro’s advanced Altro Easyclean technology, delivering industry-leading cleaning performance for safety flooring. This makes Altro Oceanis simple to maintain while ensuring exceptional hygiene standards. Altro Oceanis introduces a smoother surface design that retains the full slip-resistant properties of Altro Aquarius and Altro Pisces. Wet slip resistance exceeds PTV 50+ and is guaranteed for the lifetime of the floor.

A.    No stains were evident when tested against the following (exposure time of 120 minutes):
Hair dye (including henna based), methylated spirits (70% concentration), limescale remover, mouthwash, toilet cleaner, bleach, sodium hydroxide (50% concentration), alcohol hand cleaner and bleach

A.    Yes, however this will initially be generic for at least the first year, allowing time to gather and compile the necessary manufacturing data.

A.    Altro Oceanis is an ideal complement to Altro wall products such as Altro Tegulis, Altro Walls ShowerKit, Altro Whiterock Satins, Altro Whiterock wall designs and Altro Whiterock Chameleon.

A.     Yes. Altro Oceanis has a range of accessories that enable it to be used with different walling or adjoining surfaces.

A.    Like all Altro safety floors, Altro Oceanis is suitable for use with underfloor temperature conditioning.

A.     Altro Oceanis is backed by a 10-year product guarantee, providing the added reassurance that comes with specifying an Altro floor.

A.     Yes. When heat welding Altro Oceanis, the heat welding gun fitted with an anti-glaze nozzle should be used. This creates a narrower heat source, and the material should be grooved to approximately one-third of its overall depth.
